If you're a regular reader of Goodwillista, you've noticed my love for my coral blazer. For real. I wear it literally once a week. I'd wear it more but then I think people would notice. It seriously just goes with so much in my closet! I've been thinking since I wear it so much, maybe I need some more colored blazers. Well I was in luck! We went shopping out here in Cleveland like 234234 times in the past week, and guess what I found.. a cobalt blue blazer on clearance at Marshall's for $16! So hopefully I'll start wearing that more and y'all won't get sick of me and my coral blazer. ;) I also snatched up my sister's teal blazer so I'll show some more colored blazer love here on the bloggaroo.
When I think of neon being a trend, all I can think of is the horrendous things they wore in the 80's. But the neon trend now is SO much more calm. We're not wearing neon all over. You mix one piece of neon with some neutrals and you are all set. I loveee this blouse I picked up at Kohl's a couple weeks ago! Every time I wear it I get compliments on the color! And I got this blazer from Goodwill a couple months ago, but for some reason this is only the second time I've worn it, and it's the first time on the blog! I remember buying it thinking I was going to wear it all the time, but I guess it just got forgotten in my sea of a closet. Sorry cute old blazer that I had to take the shoulder pads out of!
Cynthia Rowley Dress: Bargain World $8 (new with tags) | Charlotte Russe heels: Goodwill $3.49
Total Outfit Cost: $11.39
This dress may be one of my favorite thrifted finds ever! My sister and I found it at Bargain World a few weeks ago and not only was it new with tags, but it fits absolutely perfect! Crazy! Andddd it's two of my favorite colors, teal and coral. This dress and I were just meant to be. I decided to wear minimal jewelry so that this dress could take center stage!
I'm in Cleveland for the next two weeks for training. Woohoo hotel life for me. I'm missing my Larry and my Charlie already! I'm hoping it goes by quick! I plan on trying to post a few outfits for y'all, but they'll be mirror pictures and hopefully the wifi will decide to cooperate with me!
ps: I promise my hair doesn't look this bad in the mornings when I go to work! It's this dang Louisiana humidity! I take my pictures in the evening so this is what it does to my hair during the day. :/
Though I'm like Peter Pan and refuse to believe that I'll ever actually grow up, I wanted to update y'all on how things were going in my life while I am doing grown up things.
Waking up everyday at 6:15 in the morning for work has been tough. It's not so bad once I'm out of the bed because I am somewhat of a morning person. I'd say that coffee has helped, but actually it's just annoyed me because it's making me have to pee every single hour at work. Probably TMI Danielle....
The crock pot has been my new bff. It takes me 5 minutes to throw something together the night before, and then I toss it in the pot and turn it on before I leave for work the next morning... get home and BAM there's food on the table, baby! Larry loves it. He said the pork chops I made the other night were "restaurant good." Best future wife award goes to me!
I gotta say, keeping this house clean isn't the easiest thing. I feel like I am constantly cleaning the kitchen! It's so pretty though, I haveee to keep it clean! And the dishwasher.. ugh it fills up every other day. That's one chore I will never and have never enjoyed. I'd rather clean the toilet everyday than load and unload the dish washer.
And that's all the grown up things I've done lately! I'm still running around the house playing with Charlie like a 4 year old, dancing in the living room, and playing dress up in my closet... some things never change.
Old Navy Jacket: Goodwill $3.49 [lady charged me for a top instead of a jacket SCORE!] | Shirt: Old Navy, gift carded | Shorts: TJ Maxx $16 | Fedora: Charming Charlie, gift carded | Flip Slops: Sears $10 (sale)
Total Outfit Cost: $29.49
I didn't even know it was going to rain yesterday, but this outfit happened to be the perfect rainy day outfit. The fedora kept my hair (& my fake hair ;) dry and the little jacket kept my shoulders dry and warm! I'm a cold natured person so I think this little jacket will get me good use in the summer. It's so hot here in Louisiana so I naturally wear sleeveless shirts, but as soon as I walk inside somewhere I'm FREEZING. Speaking of freezing, you could hang meat in the office at my new job. I even brought a blanket and I still freeze. Hopefully my little cold self will get used to it! But for now, I shiver all day with a runny nose.. joy.

This is my 5th outfit post of the week! I am SO proud of myself! On the other hand, ya'll are probably tired of seeing my face on here! With starting a new job and working 40 hours a week pretty much for the first time in my life, I never thought I'd be able to keep this blog up.
So tomorrow I'm thinking about going garage sale-ing, but I really want to sleep in for the first time this week! What to do what to dooooo?
Funny story. So remember how I had my embarassing moment with the neighbor yesterday? Well Larry got his today! So he came home from work (before me) and had to let Charlie out to go potty. Since we don't have a fence, Charlie has to be put on a leash outside. Well he opened up the back door before he picked her up and she jetted out! He chased her to the field next to us, around the house, and then to the subdivision behind our house, three houses down in the people's backyard. Finally Charlie stops to poop and he grabs her. So why is Larry chasing Charlie around THAT embarassing? Wellllll... he had taken just his dress shirt off after work so he was running around outside, full sprint, in dress slacks and dress shoes only HAHAHHA.
O Charlie I love you for that! I wish I could've seen it for my own eyes!

Well it happened. The neighbor saw me taking pictures of myself. I felt like a total doofas! Larry had just walked outside while I was taking my pictures and said "ya need any help?" I just smile and say nope I got it! Two seconds later I'm walking to my tripod to look at the picture I just took and I see the neighbor who lives in the subdivision behind us walking in his backyard with a big goofy smile on his face. Yupp. This just got weird. I can't wait till we can afford a fence so this girl can take pictures of herself in the privacy of her own backyard! ...That didn't sound conceited or anything. #bloggerproblems
Have you ever been caught taking pictures of yourself?
Banana Republic Blouse: Goodwill $3.49 | Max Studio Pants: TJ Maxx $30 | Flats: Forever 21 $18 | Necklace & Earrings: Adrienne's Boutique $15 Total Outfit Cost: $66.49
So if you've been following along on my blog for a while now, you know that I'm a skinny kinda girl. Nooo I'm not talking about my size... I'm talking about my pants! I remember my first pair of skinnies... I got them my senior year of high school (2009). My friend Kaylee, who I talked about a couple posts ago, wore them first, and I just remember thinking that she was so cute in them cause she's so petite, but I didn't think that my big ole booty and dancer legs would EVER look okay in them. She finally talked me into trying some on, and I have not turned back since!
When it comes to dress pants, it's really hard to find them in skinny! I had a pair from Body Central back when I worked at the Coach outlet, but you didn't want to see me sit down in those if you know what I mean (if you don't, click here). I found these skinny dress pants at TJ Maxx this past weekend, and y'all they are perfect! I love the fit, the material, and when I sit down my bootay is covered!
Today was my first day at my new big girl job. Though I am still refusing to believe that I'll ever actually grow up. I really enjoyed my new coworkers. It's really a family oriented environment, which I'm really excited for. My boss even took me to lunch today to get to know me. I'll pretty much be staring at a computer screen reading for two weeks for training. Then I get to go to Cleveland for 2 whole weeks for training! Eeeeek. I'm nervous.
How about these flats? Aren't they the CUTEST. I went into the Jcrew factory store a couple months ago and fell in love with some really similar nude bow flats, but for that price tag.. no way, jose. This girl is cheap. So when I went into Marshall's the other day and saw these, I snatched em' up quick as I could!
