Yesterday I showed y'all my favorite blazer. Today, I'm showing y'all my least favorite blazer. I keep keeping this blazer because I feel like it's such a good staple piece to have, but I just feel like it's boring and it's missing something. I've had it about a year and a half now and this is probably only the 4th time I've worn it. I originally planned to pair it with a chambray underneath, but when I put it all together, it just wasn't working. I ended up liking the pattern mixing with the stripes and tartan though. Any ideas on how to style this blazer?
I really like this combo, the pattern
ReplyDeleteMixing is perfect here!
Seriously? You don't like the blazer?! I love this outfit on you. One of my favorites, for sure! I think chambray is too muted for this blazer, so I'd pair it with pops of color like you have in the past. My tan blazer gets overly neglected for sure, but I like pairing it with florals and other prints. But now after this scarf + blazer combo, you might just have to do that again!
ReplyDeleteI also love this blazer! Maybe do a Pinterest search for classic tan trench coats to get inspiration for styling, because it's got the classic look of a tan trench with the added bonus that you don't have to take it off inside.
ReplyDeleteI love it with the tartan. I have a hard time believing its your least favorite blazer. I love how you paired it here. It's a fantastic staple too. My personal wardrobe has gotten a little "boring." It's a bear to find the balance between a wardrobe full of statements and a wardrobe full of basics.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to say how much I loved this blazer and then read that it's your least favorite... I love camel color. Great with cognac, great with black. And I love it with this pattern mix too! Great for November/December.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I love the combination of the bold plaid and smaller stripes.
ReplyDeleteI love this look! I always wear my brown blazer and cardigans with bright colored pants, that might help you style this. It is such a staple, so I'd hate to see you let it go!

I love the look! :) I have been on a camel kick lately and think this blazer could be versatile with a lot of other silhouettes as well. Can't wait to see how you style it in other ways. I may have to get that blanket scarf, I already have one (dark green + burgundy double sided herringbone one).
ReplyDeleteI really want a tan blazer, but I can see what you mean that it might feel boring sometimes. I love it with this scarf, so I'd recommend trying it with other prints and colors to keep it interesting!
ReplyDeleteI think that blazer looks super cute with that outfit! I love it! The striped shirt and the scarf work perfectly with the blazer.
ReplyDeleteYour scarf makes this blazer look so good! Maybe it just needs to be tailored to fit a little tighter. It looks great on you so I wouldn't give it up just yet! What about pairing it with a very loud top either in color or pattern to balance out the neutral tan?
ReplyDeleteTried this combination today. Thanks for the inspiration and caring to share.
ReplyDeleteI really like this outfit, Danielle! Those pants always make me smile - they're so fun! And I am glad you wore the striped shirt with the outfit - the pattern mixing makes it interesting :)
