I've been on a dress kick lately, and this maxi may be my favorite. I have to stop myself from wearing it all the time. Ya know, that seems to be a trend in my favorite pieces, I love them so much that I wear them every week. This time I didn't even realize it. I wore it with the chambray tied over last week and then yesterday I got dressed and put it on again without even realizing that I just wore it recently. I have to give my sister props for finding it. She bought it first and not a month later I had to have it too!

Ok, enough about the dress. I figured out something great this week. It's amazing if your skin gets oily during the day like mine. Translucent powder! When I add my normal colored powder in the middle or end of the day to my already face full of makeup, it makes my makeup look gross and cakey. I don't know about you but I definitely don't want to look like I have layers and layers of makeup on. Translucent powder masks the oily-ness and doesn't make it look like you added any makeup. It's genius. You should try it. :)  And for the record, I have the NYC powder from Walmart for like 99 cents and it works great!

  3. Oh yes! Black maxis are always a good choice! I really need to hem mine so I can wear it with flat shoes. Great find for only $12!

  4. I absolutely love the way you've coordinated that chambray top with that cute black dress. I have a multicolored maxi dress I bought at Ross about five years ago that I paid under $20 for and I've worn it with button-down shirts tied over it, t-shirts layered under it then a vintage cardie over it with a large bead necklace, sneakers and a funky cotton hat. The possibilities are endless with a maxi dress. Now that I see how cute you look in yours I think I'll pull mine out of the closet and wear it the next time I go out.

  5. This dress looks fantastic on you! It seems to me that a black maxi dress would be the perfect piece for summer.
