Breaking the Rules

....on multiple occasions.
Who ever came up with this "No white after Labor Day" rule anyways? I choose to break the rules! I wore my white skinny pants to work last week and my white skinny jeans to class yesterday.

I didn't know what to call this outfit, but I have to say that it may be my favorite work outfit yet. Lately I've been obsessed with skirts, and every time I go to the goodwill, I try on about 10 different pencil skirts.  Somehow, none of them ever fit... but then came this one.  It fit to a T... as in if I eat a little too much, thing thing isn't going to fit! But I love it, the color, the length, everything was perfect.

DIY High-Low Skirt

This summer, I had been really wanting a high-low/fish-tail/whateveryouwanttocallit skirt, but thrifty me was not about to pay $30 and up for one like they charge at the mall. So, decided to take things into my hands. I bought this ugly, 90's era skirt from the Goodwill, and created my own! I didn't even have to sew- I used hem tape! So, what do you think?

Okay so I know that fall doesn't actually begin until Saturday, but it felt amazing outside today! I know it won't last long here in Louisiana, but I'll enjoy it while it's here. I know this outfit isn't as dressy as I normally wear to work during the week, but I had 3 exams this week, so I really just wanted to be comfortable today.  That would also explain my lack of posts this week. Three exams in one week means not much spare time for blogging, and honestly, I should be studying for my third exam right now... so maybe I should get back to that!

I stopped at St. Vincent De Paul after school today and got it for just $3. PLUS, it had Cinderella 2 in the case too! Now I don't have to spend $20 on it when it comes out of the vault next month. :)

They also had Beauty and The Beast and Fox and The Hound on DVD, but I already have those!

I called this office ballerina because of my ballerina bun and my ballet pink cardigan! I love that the big ballet buns are in style! I used to have to wear a bun all the time to dancing, and I kinda miss it. It gets my hair out of my face, and it just looks fabulous. Have you tried the ballerina bun?

So I wore this outfit to school today... not so exciting.  But what was exciting, I paid my fee to apply for graduation in the spring!! I paid so early because before September 15th, it only cost $10, rather than paying $40 next semester. Typical me, always catching a sale. ;)

Arm Candy!

I loveeee my Betsy Johnson watch! I got it at Dillards last summer on clearance for $20!! I remember going into Dillards and seeing it for $60... I would NEVER pay that.  Then I saw it again the next time I went on sale for $35, and I was so close to buying, but it was still just a little overpriced for me. THEN I went to Dillards AGAIN, and it was $20... needless to say it was mine :)

And my cross and faith bracelets I got at the jewelry show for only $3.50 each! I wear them pretty much everyday.
