Back in December, Forever 21 was offering BOGO free on their clearance items, so I had to hit it up! I ordered this dress I'm wearing, another dress (that was too short :(), 2 shirts, and a big comfy cardigan all for $50. A few days after I placed my order, Nicole posted this outfit in a dress with almost the exact print as this one! I just knew I had to copy her outfit. I added my navy tights since it was cold outside. Luckily my fur vest kept me pretty warm. I should also note that Nicole was one of the main reasons I bought a fur vest last year. She kept posting all these ridiculously cute outfits in hers, so I had to have one too.

I wore this outfit a couple weeks ago to one of my many family Christmas parties.  As I was getting dressed and my husband saw what I was wearing he said, "I'm going to tell people I killed that!" ...HA HA Larry.  It's faux fur babe, faux.  He's a mess.  He didn't actually tell anyone that, thank God.  I'm thinking about starting a list of "things my husband says about my clothes."  I'm glad I have this blog so I can document them here(see what he said about my wide leg pants here).  So It was pretty chilly that day, so I thought I'd dress warm in my new white sweater and my fur vest.  Normally I'm a cold natured person, and even in this I'd still be cold, but this day I don't know what was wrong with me but I was HOT.  I had to take the vest off a few times because I was burning up!  My mom kept thinking I was sick, but I wasn't!  I felt fine!  It was weird.  I have to say though, I hate hate hate being cold, so I'd so much rather be hot than cold.

Speaking of cold, gah- my office, it's freezing!  How can it be 26 degrees outside one day last week and they still have yet to put the heater on inside!  Our office is in a tower and the entire building is controlled off of one thermostat so we can't adjust it.  I have a small heater at my desk and that doesn't even help much.  It's ridic!

Last summer I told y'all how I was a skinny pants kinda girl. Not that I really even had to tell you! If you've followed along for any amount of time, you have never seen me in pants that weren't skinny.  Well, I think these pants have changed me! First I have to say that I would have never even picked these pants up at Plato's if it weren't for seeing how adorable Danielle (a little bit of wo we) looked in wide leg pants. These pants are SO comfy and fit absolutely perfect (other than the fact that they need to be hemmed like a cm shorter), and I just can't get over how awesome they look. I have a lot of outfit ideas for them already, so expect to be seeing these often!

Ever since I saw Rachel Sayumi wear this outfit, I knew I had to copy it one day! After buying these pants I searched wide leg pants on Pinterest and found this pin. Then wah-lah! I put those two outfits together to make my own outfit! I know a lot of my outfits lately have been either copy cats from other bloggers or from Pinterest. I'm not sure if it's my laziness, lack of creativity, or if I'm just really inspired by other's lately. Hopefully once spring rolls around my creativeness will come back to me, and I'll be posting my original outfit ideas again!

Oh & by the way, I'm hosting another round of the many days, many ways linkup on March 19th!

3 favorites today...

1. The fur vest, duh. When it started getting chilly again last week, I was a little too excited to pull out the vest again. $20 well spent.

2. This blouse. It is perfection and I want to wear it everyday.

3. This outfit was inspired by one of my favorite blogger buds, Nicole (writes like a girl). She wore [this outfit]. To be honest I know she has the same shirt I have on above and I definitely thought she was wearing it in that outfit, but it turns out I was wrong. She's wearing pretty much the same shirt minus the polkadots. Oh well. I still wouldn't have thought of this outfit if it wasn't for my misconception of her shirt, so she she still gets the credit.

Ever since I saw Nicole (writeslikeagirl) wearing a fur vest, I knew I had to have one. Living in south Louisiana, I thought that I would look totally ridiculous in a fur vest. I mean it just doesn't get cold enough to justify wearing fur.... Oh boy was I wrong. This fur vest has been perfect for the weather lately. Well, more like for the weather going on in my office at work. It's freezing in our office, but it's way too uncomfortable to sit at my desk with a coat on and wearing my fleece Magic Kingdom blanket just makes me want to fall asleep. So this vest is perfect, because it keeps me warm and allows my arms to be free. I've pretty much worn it once a week since it came in the mail. 20 bucks definitely justified. Oh and speaking of this vest and my office, the first time I wore to work one of my co-workers asked if she could pet me. Lol.

Remember when I told y'all about the awesome link up idea I had a couple weeks ago? Well, it's happening! Get your creative juices flowing because the "many days many ways" linkup party (name compliments of Nicole)  will be next Wednesday, February 19th

Here are the deets: Choose one item in your closet and remix the heck out of it. Show all the ways that you can style that one piece. I'll give y'all a hint to mine- my trusty lace dress. The button is on my side bar if you'd like to use it to link back to the link up so more bloggy friends will know about it.  What do you plan on remixing? I can't wait to see!

one outfit styled three ways

one outfit three ways, maroon pants, black booties, aztec sweater, fur vest

I bought this top and the bottoms at Walmart during the same grocery trip, but never did I think I would keep these two together this much! This has got to be the most comfortable put together outfit there is. These legging pants things (I honestly don't have a clue what to call them- they're too stretchy to be called pants, but too think to be called leggings) don't have front pockets or a button and zipper, so I think they look weird with anything but a longer top. This top is one of the two I have that's long and loose, so I just keep wearing them together. And I have to say, together they seem to make a perfect canvas for lots of styling options and outfits!

The first way I styled this outfit was simple. All I did was add this pretty necklace, and I think it's my favorite.

The next time I wore it, I added my faux fur vest and a long necklace.

Lastly, I went for comfort, and added my awesomely cozy aztec sweater. I swear this sweater is like wearing a blanket everywhere I go.
Which outfit is your favorite? Do you have an outfit that works as a canvas for many ways to remix.

So this is what I wore to church and lunch today, and I gotta tell ya I was BURNING up. This dang Louisiana weather is CRAZY.  Friday we had a frozen wonderland here, and it was beautiful! No snow, just frozen grass and the roads were froze over, but hey I didn't have to go to work, so that works for me! Then today it's flippin' in the 60's! What the heck!? Oh AND looks like we're supposed to have some more "winter weather" coming Monday night! Louisiana weather keeping everybody sick with it's ups and downs. I bet you didn't know, but Katy Perry actually wrote Hot N Cold for Louisiana. Yepp.
