A few weeks ago, I was in such a clothing rut. I felt like I couldn't put together an outfit on my own to save my life. I kept having to turn to Pinterest and my fellow blog friends for inspiration just to get dressed in the morning. I think it was mainly because I had enough of my winter clothes. But finally, FINALLY, spring has sprung! The weather has been amazing the last 2 weeks. And finally I feel like my creative juices are flowing again! I've been loving my outfits lately! I'm happy to get dressed in the morning again, and I really haven't even been on Pinterest much. I feel like myself again. Did this extra long winter get you in a rut?

  1. You look amazing! I'm with ya on being stuck in a rut! I was tired of wearing skinny pants and boots! It's amazing what some nice weather and the ability to wear sandals will do to one's excitement of getting dressed!

  5. These colors are great together. So glad spring has arrived in your parts...in CA, we've had such a hot winter that it felt like summer and I never got to use much of my winter clothes.

  6. I love your outfit! Such a fun color of your top! I completely agree, I've been in a rut too the last month or so! But I'm so excited the weather is finally starting to warm up and I can finally start pulling out more skirts, dresses, and bright colors!

  8. I still can't get over this necklace. Recently pulled a khaki blazer out of my closet thinking I should get rid of it... but now I've been wearing it! Thanks for the inspiration / maybe I shouldn't try to wear khaki in the fall/winter. ? haha. XO-Alexandra

  11. uh- YES. I was so over getting dressed in tights and endless layers just to stay alive. dressing for Spring is making me feel inspired again! just being able to wear a t-shirt and skirt without tights or boots is making me happy :)

  12. Hooray for getting your outfit mojo back! I definitely can relate - this winter has been pretty brutal up in Minnesota, and I'm so so so tired of pants and tights. I just want to wear short sleeves and bare legs and open toed shoes!! I love the color of your top, and I'm smitten with your black ankle pants. Are they the new Pixie style? I've really been wanting to try them out and I desperately need some black ankle pants for job interviews, so I'm wondering if I should give them a try. How do you like them?

  13. Yay! I'm glad you're out of your rut! I feel like I'm in that most days, especially when I have to plan an outfit wit my work polo. I hadn't noticed you were in a rut if that helps :)

Those black ankle pants look amazing on you. Plus, leopard heels make any outfit better!
