My name is Danielle, and I am addicting to thrifting.
Here's how it all started:
I’ve always been a thrifty person, and I was raised cheap. It all started when I was little. My mawmaw
used to take me garage sale-ing with her. She says that she used to take me to
neighborhood garage sales, pushing me in my stroller, and I even had my own little
coin purse to get myself some goodies. My family frequently brought me to
thrift stores growing up. My mom wouldn’t let my sister and I have expensive
clothes from places like limited too, Hollister, or Abercrombie. We shopped at Rave Girl and JCP instead, but
we always looked nice, and you could never tell that our clothes cost a
fraction of other girls’.
Now how I became addicted to thrifting? That allll started
with my mom. Every Friday she had to go run errands, and her bank was on the
same road as the Goodwill. She started stopping at the Goodwill every Friday,
and she was coming home with all kinds of goodies! I caught the thrifting bug
too, so I started thrifting more and going to the Goodwill in my college
town. That’s when I started realizing a
pattern… someone would tell me my shirt/shoes/pants/jewelry was cute and I’d
say “GOODWILL!!” and they were always in shock!
That’s how Goodwillista was
born….
I created this blog to show and inspire others that dressing
great doesn’t have to cost you. I am
able to dress myself stylish and my home beautifully all on thrifted and
bargain finds!
Apart from being a thriftaholic, here is a little more about myself...
I am married to my college sweetheart, Larry. We live in south Louisiana with our toy poodle, Charlie

Hi Danielle,
ReplyDeleteYou are just too cute, with a beautiful smile! I have been wearing clothes from the Goodwill ever since I can remember. I think almost everything I own is from a garage sale or a thrift store - mainly the "Goodie". When I found your blog over at Blissful and Domestic, I had to check it out because I LOVE the Goodwill.
Happy to be a new follower and invite you to come see me at www.thepolkadotshoes.blogspot.com.
