trying something new

Ok, ok y'all are going to have to excuse the massive roots I have going on in these pictures. This was before my sister cut and highlighted my hair. She was a life saver because y'all... my hair was bad. So bad. She's only been in beauty school since October and is already amazing at it. I'm such a proud big sister!

So I tried something new with this outfit. I've been wanting to try wearing a sweater over my skirt for a while. This sweater is slightly high-low and it was too long to wear just on top of the skirt (it made my proportions look all weird). So, I tried knotting it! I don't think it photoed well, but in person this outfit was really cute! Or at least I thought so haha. The only thing about knotting it is that it came undone a few times at work so I had to keep re-doing it.

I know a lot of you are thinking... Monday and happy in the same sentence? I may be thinking the same thing as you're reading this, but I'm writing it on Sunday night! I think it's going to be a good week though. I have my outfits and meals planned out for the week, so in my eyes, that projects a good week. No waking up and having nothing to wear, and no coming home and not having anything to eat.... two things that I struggle with on the daily! Plus, the house is clean and most of the clothes are clean, folded/hung and put away. How's your week ahead of you looking?

Work has been crazy busy this week, therefore I am short on words for y'all. I've been getting home from work, and the last thing I want to do is look at the computer screen again.    I know this is short notice, but Nicole and I will be hosting another round of the many days, many ways link up this Monday! The other day I was stalking my own blog, (please tell me I'm not the only one who does that) looking back at some of the outfits I've worn over the past few months. I came across this outfit and then pulled it out of my closet because I wanted to wear it again. Since it's cold outside, bare legs wouldn't work. I could've just added some tights and have been done with it, but I'm really not one to wear the exact same outfit twice, so I came up with this outfit! It was a hit at work and even a girl I passed in the elevator told me "super cute outfit." Hahah.

So now my co-workers know about my blog, and for some reason I'm so embarrassed! I really shouldn't be though! I started this blog to inspire people, and heck, the more people I can inspire the better I guess!  Just the fact that I take pictures of myself as a hobby is embarrassing is what I really mean haha.
