Hi all! Hope you had a great weekend! My sister was in town, so I sure did! Today Priya and I are showing y'all how we styled our striped dress for winter. Priya looks adorable all bundled up in her thick gray scarf and olive coat! I know some of you may think that my outfit isn't very winter-y, but it's as best as it's going to get when it's 64 degrees outside! Funny story actually... Back in November when Priya and I were getting our four seasons, one dress fall edition ready, we had some winter weather in the fall. So, I had actually worn this same outfit, but with fleece lined leggings, a thicker scarf, and my coat., but I couldn't share that outfit for fall! So pretty much it was winter in the fall and now fall in the winter. Crazy.

And below, for your viewing pleasure... bloopers! Let me just say, it's so much easier taking my pictures with my tripod. I had my sister take these, and I swear every picture she took was terrible! I guess I have my tripod set up at just the right angle? I have no clue but I swear, everysingletime I ask family/friends/husband to take my blog picture, I hate the pictures. HOW do you all get your people to take good pictures of you?Or are y'all just that photogenic and I'm not?? Lol

When I originally thought up this outfit I thought I would pair it with my striped skirt, but once I put it all together, it just wasn't working. Luckily, my favorite pants weren't far (ya know, on the ground in my closet... oops) so I grabbed them for a quick fix.  Some days the outfits in my head win, some days they loose. I'd say I won this time though because I actually like this outfit much better than with the skirt!

I hate to write such a Debbie downer post today, but man, I have just been in a funk this week. I was sick with a sinus infection last week, so I called into work Friday and went to the doc. They gave me antibiotics, a steroid pack, nose spray, cough syrup, AND a shot. I feel much better (other than this itchy cough that the cough meds don't help), but the antibiotics and steroids are just seriously messing with my sleep! I hate that even though I'm better that I have to finish them off. Last week I couldn't sleep because of the sickness, this week I can't sleep because of the medicine! So annoying! Especially coming from someone who thoroughly enjoys her sleep at night. I hope that this funk ends soon because Christmas is almost here, and I don't want to be the Grinch!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I couldn't get off work the day before and after Thanksgiving, so I wasn't able to go hunting with Larry and his side of the family like normal for Thanksgiving. So for the first time in 4 years I got to spend Thanksgiving with my family! It was so nice to get together with everyone. Since I moved 2 hours away, I don't get much time with everyone anymore. I'm happy that I'll get to see everyone again in just a few weeks for Christmas! Spending time with family is really the best part of the holidays... and the food, we can't forget the food ;)

I actually wore this outfit about a month or so ago now, but somehow I never got around to posting it. I'm still quite in love with this black dress. It's SO comfy, yet it's totally dressy enough for work. I feel like that's how most of my closet goes now-a-days. I'm going to call it comfy work chic haha.
