hand me down

coral blazer + black and tan
LC Lauren Conrad Blazer: Kohl's $24
Blouse: Target: Hand me down from a friend (new with tags)
Mossimo Pants: Target (30% off) $20
Heels: Just Fab $40
Total Outfit Cost: $84

One of my coworkers sent me home with a bag of things that she had that she never ended up wearing. This gorgeous blouse was in it! I love it, and I love the way it turned out with his outfit, but it's a litttttle too tight in the chest area. :( Something that's very new to me haha. I'm debating on if I should keep it or not! Is it worth being tight in the chest?

First up is my most favorite, most perfect coral blazer. I've worn it a ton, but this may be my new favorite. My second favorite would be the first time I wore it. You can see all 10 ways I've worn this blazer here. Do you have a favorite blazer that never fails to make you feel fabulous?

I can't wait to see everyone's blazer outfits this week. Make sure you head on over to see how Andi styled her blazers this week too!

Last year I wore this blazer sooo much. I had to stop myself from wearing it once a week. But this year? It's been neglected in my closet! How could I have let that happen to one of my favorite pieces in my closet? No idea! My dear coral blazer, I am sorry. I promise not to neglect you anymore.
One thing that has definitely not been neglected is these Old Navy "the diva" skinny pants. I have worn these babies OUT. The bottom seam is out so I have to flat iron it cuffed under so it doesn't come undone during the day. (please tell me y'all flat iron your clothes too?!) Anyone have a good recommendation for skinny pants for work that are under $30??

Happy Monday! Welcome to Nicole & I's third Many Days, Many Ways Link up! To be honest with y'all, I kinda almost forgot about it this month, so I had to put this post together very last minute. Luckily, I knew of one piece in my closet that I've gotten a lot of wear out of and could showcase this month, my coral blazer! It's easily one of my favorite items in my entire closet! When I was looking at all the ways I've worn it, I noticed that I've pretty much worn it with neutrals and a pop of turquoise. I've also worn it once with my navy gingham. I knew that I wanted to pair it with my awesome Gap bell bottoms this time around, and I could have easily gone for my white button up, but I wanted to try something different. I had to think to myself what other colors go with coral. I decided I wanted to try yellow and coral together. It was easy to pick a top because turns out, this is the only yellow shirt I have! It's not my favorite pairing, but hey, it works! I plan to continue wearing this blazer this spring and summer for sure! How would you suggest I style it next?

the blazer is back

I wore this blazer so much last spring and summer, and you better believe that it's be back again this year! Unfortunately, there are two pieces here that are definitely needing replacements: my leopard flats and my lace blouse. I remember that I got these flats sometime in the fall of 2011, and they have definitely gotten their full use by now. The sole of them are slightly falling apart, and the fabric is ripping. There's nothing really wrong with the lace blouse, but I think that I want to replace it with one that's better quality and thicker. I've been looking for new flats, but I just haven't had any luck with finding any that I like as much as these! I've considered the loafer style too, but the ones I tried on at target weren't comfortable. Anyone have any suggestions?

This is just one of those outfits I felt totally like me in. To be honest, any time I wear this blazer I just feel like me. It's possibly one of my absolute favorite things in my closet (along with these boots). Let me put it in this perspective, even if you told me you'd give me $100 for this blazer, I wouldn't take it. I wouldn't take the chance of not being able to find another one as perfect as this one! Oh and by the way, back in the beginning of the year, I asked y'alls opinion on getting new boots like these because the bottoms of them were ruined, but I ended up just getting these fixed for only $12! $12 vs $40+ for new boots? I'll take it.

the coral blazer strikes again

Y'all know I couldn't go too long without posting an outfit in my coral blazer! I swear the outfits are endless in this blazer. It's seriously one of my favorite and most versatile things in my closet! I love the contrast of the turquoise with the coral too. Eventually I'll pair it with my turquoise bubble necklace... even if other bloggers aren't wearing theirs anymore. I'll still be sporting mine for at least a few more months!

If you're a regular reader of Goodwillista, you've noticed my love for my coral blazer. For real. I wear it literally once a week. I'd wear it more but then I think people would notice. It seriously just goes with so much in my closet! I've been thinking since I wear it so much, maybe I need some more colored blazers. Well I was in luck! We went shopping out here in Cleveland like 234234 times in the past week, and guess what I found.. a cobalt blue blazer on clearance at Marshall's for $16! So hopefully I'll start wearing that more and y'all won't get sick of me and my coral blazer. ;) I also snatched up my sister's teal blazer so I'll show some more colored blazer love here on the bloggaroo.

Ps. How ya liking these awesome mirror pictures?

on growing up...

Though I'm like Peter Pan and refuse to believe that I'll ever actually grow up, I wanted to update y'all on how things were going in my life while I am doing grown up things.

Waking up everyday at 6:15 in the morning for work has been tough. It's not so bad once I'm out of the bed because I am somewhat of a morning person. I'd say that coffee has helped, but actually it's just annoyed me because it's making me have to pee every single hour at work. Probably TMI Danielle....

The crock pot has been my new bff. It takes me 5 minutes to throw something together the night before, and then I toss it in the pot and turn it on before I leave for work the next morning... get home and BAM there's food on the table, baby! Larry loves it. He said the pork chops I made the other night were "restaurant good." Best future wife award goes to me!

I gotta say, keeping this house clean isn't the easiest thing. I feel like I am constantly cleaning the kitchen! It's so pretty though, I haveee to keep it clean! And the dishwasher.. ugh it fills up every other day. That's one chore I will never and have never enjoyed. I'd rather clean the toilet everyday than load and unload the dish washer.

And that's all the grown up things I've done lately! I'm still running around the house playing with Charlie like a 4 year old, dancing in the living room, and playing dress up in my closet... some things never change.

This is my 5th outfit post of the week! I am SO proud of myself! On the other hand, ya'll are probably tired of seeing my face on here! With starting a new job and working 40 hours a week pretty much for the first time in my life, I never thought I'd be able to keep this blog up.

So tomorrow I'm thinking about going garage sale-ing, but I really want to sleep in for the first time this week! What to do what to dooooo?

Ps. If you love me, go love my picture to vote for me for Chippmunk's Expert Shopper contest! :)

A couple weeks ago I stopped at Kohl's because I had a gift card from Christmas. I'm not usually a designer gal, but ya'll... I LOVE Lauren Conrad's line. I knew I would end up spending my gift card on something from her line. I almost didn't get this coral blazer because I thought the boyfriend jeans and a pretty tank were more practical at the time. Well I didn't have enough on my gift card to get it, but the kind lady behind me used her retail me not app and gave me a 20% off coupon! Heck yes I was getting it then!
I'm so glad I got it. I'm usually not one to re-wear the same things often, but I've already worn this blazer 3 times in the 2 weeks I've had it. I could wear it everyday. I have SO many outfit ideas for it! It was definitely worth my $24 and totally applies to my $20 rule
By the way! Kohl's is offering my readers a 10% off  online coupon code that can be used to stack savings on top of other codes! It expires May 10th.
