A couple weeks ago I shared 10 random things about myself. I was shocked when a couple of you said that y'all didn't really know much about me! I guess that I don't really share that much about myself on my blog, but I'm going to try to more for sure! So today, I'd thought I'd start with sharing the basics about myself:

My name is Danielle. I've been married to my college sweetheart for almost 2 years. We live in Louisiana with our toy poodle, Charlie. I graduated college with a degree in business management (so did my husband). I didn't really know exactly what I wanted to be other than a boss, so I thought that major would suit me. I work daily as a claims adjuster for auto accidents. I grew up dancing. I don't dance anymore unless you consider my living room or my car a dance floor. I've always been a big Disney nerd, and I've actually worked in Disney World through the Disney College Program. I love thrift shopping and bargain hunting, which is why I started this blog. I also enjoy decorating my home, cooking for my husband (even if it isn't always that great), and doing DIY projects.

And so y'all can get to know more about me, I'm going to do an ask me anything post! Feel free to comment below with your questions or you can email them to me at goodwillista@gmail.com and I'll be answering them in a post soon. :)

I have to thank Inge for the recommendation on these pants! A couple months ago (or weeks, I don't remember) I asked for y'alls recommendation on some black skinny pants for work. Many of you recommended the exact stretch pants from The Limited. They were buy 1 get 1 free one day, so I ordered the Exact Stretch Zip Pocket Ankle Pants and the Exact Stretch Skinny Pants. When they came in, I was very impressed with the structure and material of the pants, but when I put them on, they just didn't fit exactly right and they weren't exactly what I was looking for. I like my pants to have more stretch to them, and these (although they are called exact stretch) had no stretch to them and they weren't very comfortable. This pair was too long and very baggy in the ankles, and then these were too wide at the ankle. I was wanting something a little skinnier. I think pants that are skinnier at the bottom look better with flats. If they're too wide, I feel like it can make you look super stumpy and short. I ended up sending both pairs back.

Luckily, Inge posted about replacing her black ankle pants and the Target ones she bought looked exactly like what I was looking for, plus the price was right! I ordered them and I'm so happy with my purchase! These pants are so perfect, and I'm hoping to eventually get a few other colors in them!

Friday at work we had our Easter potluck. For Thanksgiving we went eat Chinese, and called it our Chinese Thanksgiving, so somehow we came up with having a Mexican Easter potluck! We had chips, queso, salsa, enchiladas, Mexican cornbread, I made a taco ring, and lots of other yummies. We all also wore pastel colors and played some games. We started off the day with a jelly bean flavor guessing game. It was awful. We each had 6 jelly bean flavors in our bag. When I tasted my brown jelly bean, I had to spit it out. It was possibly the worst thing I've ever tasted in my life. I wrote down 'burrito' for the flavor. Turns out, each of us had 1 different flavor than the rest of the gang in each of our bags. That brown jelly bean I ate was "earth worm" flavor. Others had mud flavor, black pepper flavor, etc. Supposedly these nasty jelly beans are Harry Potter jelly beans. Gross. Just gross. And for the record, I didn't even guess one flavor right. I had put down toothpaste for the rootbeer flavored one...

disco pants

A couple weeks ago I told y'all how my husband thought that I looked like a diva in an outfit I wore to work. This time, I walk over to his work to have lunch with him, and he says, "nice disco pants!" ....Sarcastically. Let's just say that he is not a fan of my wide leg pants. He couldn't stop laughing! And no, it doesn't bother me whatsoever! My husband has zero sense of fashion. If he's wearing something nice, I dressed him, and I bought it. Anyone else dress their husband? He'd dress even better if he let me dress him the way I really want to dress him. Unfortunately, he's plain Jane Jack. He only really likes to wear the colors black, red, white, and gray. One time I bought him this pretty blue Express short sleeve button up from the Goodwill (yes, I buy thrifted clothes for him too!), and he puts it on and is all like, "....well, the color is too much.." OHHH OK. Crazy husband. He never did wear that shirt, and it still hangs in our closet as I continue to hope he'll wear it one day.

3 favorites today...

1. The fur vest, duh. When it started getting chilly again last week, I was a little too excited to pull out the vest again. $20 well spent.

2. This blouse. It is perfection and I want to wear it everyday.

3. This outfit was inspired by one of my favorite blogger buds, Nicole (writes like a girl). She wore [this outfit]. To be honest I know she has the same shirt I have on above and I definitely thought she was wearing it in that outfit, but it turns out I was wrong. She's wearing pretty much the same shirt minus the polkadots. Oh well. I still wouldn't have thought of this outfit if it wasn't for my misconception of her shirt, so she she still gets the credit.

I scored this blouse on the clearance rack at Kohl's last week, and y'all I am smitten. It is seriously perfect. I already know it'll be one of those items I'll want to wear once a week, you know like my coral blazer, fur vest, and aztec sweater. I guess that's part of building a closet of things that I love. Good thing this blouse has so much remixing potential. I may have to use it one month for the "many days many ways" link up. Oh and speaking of being smitten, Valentine's Day is in TWO days. What the heck. I didn't even realize that it was this week until Monday!
