Floral Blouse: Poshmark $6 + $2.50 shipping* = $8.50

Old Navy Flats: on sale org. $23 -20% off = $16
I was long overdue for some new black flats, and these are perfect! Most Old Navy flats aren't comfortable, but these actually have a good cushion to them, They also come in blue and I've been really tempted to get them too.

Fur Vest: Poshmark $15 + $2.50 shipping* = $17.50
I already have fur vest, but it's a little more cropped and I've been wanting one that's longer. This one was such a great price so I couldn't pass it up.

Liz Lange Tee: Target clearance $6

Mossimo Skirt: Target org. $20 - 50% off coupon on cartwheel app = $10
Good during and after pregnancy, had to have it!

Motherhood Maternity Shirt: local consignment event $5

Liz Lange Dress: Target $25 gift carded $0

Old Navy Full Panel Jeans: org. $35 - 20% off = $28

Old Navy White Jeans: clearance $10
I already purchased a pair of white maternity jeans, but they were low panel. About a month or so ago, baby girl decided she didn't like low panel anymore. She kicked all day and I think it was because the panel was so tight and constricting. Not comfortable anymore. I'm probably going to sell those.

Forever 21 Trapeze Dress (also bought in tan): $15 each = $30
I'm normally not one to buy the same thing in multiple colors, but this dress was an exception. It's SO comfortable. It's great because it'll work with my growing belly and afterwards. It needs to get cool outside so I can wear this with leggings and boots already!

Total Spent: $131 - Total sold on Poshmark $95 = $36

2015 AUGUST CLOSET ADDITIONS

H&M Maternity Tanks: $13 each = $26
I didn't want to buy any summer maternity clothes, but I bought these tanks for my Disney trip next month! I think they'll be perfect and airy enough to keep me cool in the Orlando heat.

H&M White Shorts: $18
I only own one pair of maternity shorts, and I can't wear them the whole time in Disney. So I ordered these for my trip, and while I do plan to wear them, I'm not happy with them. I'm normally a 4, but something told me to order a 6. Good thing I did because I probably couldn't even get all the way into the 4. The 6 is pretty tight, but I really don't want to have to pay another $6 shipping to send them back and then another $6 shipping for another pair. So I will just be squeezing my preggo booty in these for 1 day in Disney.

Maternity Leggings: $25 each (BOGO 1/2 off) = $37.50
I don't love how much these cost, but I really need them and I know that I will get a ton of use out of them in the fall.. maybe even too much use!

Motherhood Maternity Shirt (black): (clearance) $8

PinkBlush Maternity Blouse: ($15 flash sale) $15
PinkBlush had a $15 flash sale and I just couldn't resist! Their clothes are just too soft and comfy!

PinkBlush Maternity Tee: ($15 flash sale) $15

PinkBlush Maternity Dress: ($15 flash sale) $15
The good thing about this dress is that it doesn't look maternity at all, so I will be able to wear it post-pregnancy too!

Old Navy Striped Sweater: Garage Sale $0.50

Mossimo Tank: Garage Sale $0.30

Gap Cardigan: Garage Sale $2
I LOVE this waterfall style cardigan. I see myself wearing it a lot this fall/winter.

Banana Republic Cardigan: Garage Sale $3

{not pictured}Black Gap Shirt: Garage Sale $2

{not pictured} Gray Slip On Shoes: JC Penney Org. $40, on sale for $30, 15% off coupon = $25
Similar to these Sketchers. Not something I would normally buy, but last year I thought I could handle Disney in sandals like when I worked there, and that was a mistake. Hopefully these will keep my feet comfy this year!

Total spent: $167.30 - clothes sold on Poshmark $12 = $155.30

Total Spent this year: $464.80

I spent much more than I normally would in a month, but I suppose that's what happens when your hips keep widening and your belly is growing. And not to mention a Disney trip planned for next month! Considering how expensive maternity clothes are, I think I'm doing pretty good at this point. I definitely see myself buying a few more maternity items, but once fall is here I know I will be able to get away with tunics and leggings!

Old Navy Swing Dresses: 50% off of $27 = $13.50 each
I'm normally not one to buy the same item in different colors, but this dress is an awesome exception. The material is SO soft and comfy. Plus, these dresses will work while pregnant and after! A win-win in my book.

Mossimo Striped Blazer: Poshmark $10 + $4 shipping = $14
I've been looking to add some comfy ponte knit blazers to my wardrobe. I think that having some fun outer layers to pair with simple maternity tee's will be good for making my closet go further during my pregnancy. It's so hot now though that I may not get any wear out of this for a few months.

I will admit, I don't love these. I bought them to make due for now until I find a really good pair of black maternity pants for work. I would much rather full panel pants, but I'm learning that it's hard to find exactly what you want when it comes to maternity wear. #thestruggleisreal

{not pictured} "&" Tee: Old Navy on sale for $5
I debated even including this in my budget because right now it's just being worn as a sleep shirt. I bought it big so that it'll fit later on though.

Total spent $71 - clothes sold $12 = $59

Total Spent this year: $309.50

june closet additions

1. Old Navy Boyfriend Maternity Jeans: ThredUp $13
Well it's official, my jeans no longer fit. I've tried the whole Belly Band deal, but it just wasn't comfortable. I figured it's inevitable that I'm going to need maternity jeans, so why not go ahead and take the plunge?

2. Gap Cardigan: Bargain World Thrift Store $2.50

3. Ya Tank: Bargain World Thrift Store $1

4. Forever 21 Maxi dress: $18 - 40% off + free shipping = $12
Wore it once, washed it, went to wear it again and even though I didn't dry it in the dryer, it shrunk in the front and looked all weird. Total fail. It's already been sold to Plato's Closet.

5. Old Navy dress: (on sale) $15
This is the same dress I have in black. This time I sized up in order to fit my growing belly.

6. Gap Low Panel Maternity Jeans: ThredUp $16

7. Old Navy Maternity Shorts: $30 - 40% off = $18

8.  Mossimo Dress: Bargain World Thrift Store $6

Total Spent $83.50 - Total Sold on Poshmark $6 = $77.50

Total spent this year: $250.50

*Note: I made $100 selling clothes at Plato's Closet and Style Encore this past weekend but I'm not including it in my budget because I'm going to try to use that money to buy new clothes for my husband (best wife award?). He (intentionally) has gained 10-15 lbs in the past few months and oh man is he in need of some new clothes. His pants are all too tight and his tight shirts make him look like a meat head! Lol!

*Another note: Sign up for ThredUp here and we each get $10 to spend!

Forever 21 Maxi Dress: (on sale) $15

Old Navy Chambray Dress: Originally $35 - 30% off = $25
Completely in love with this dress but for some reason I haven't worn it yet!

White Tank: Marshall's: $25
This was totally an impulse buy yesterday, but it's sooo soft, so I couldn't pass it up.

Old Navy Coral Dress: Originally $20 - 30% off = $14

White Blouse: Marshall's $10
I wish they had this blouse in more colors because it was such a great price for a basic blouse!

Total Spent this month $89 - Clothes sold on Poshmark $40 = $49

Total Spent this year: $173

This was a weird month for me shopping wise. I ordered the 2 Old Navy dresses and the maxi dress at the beginning of the month, and then didn't shop (for clothes) at all until yesterday when I went to Marshall's. For the most part it's been because pregnancy has got me tired as ever. I've spent numerous lunch breaks this month watching Netflix on my phone. Also because I don't actually know how to shop now knowing that I will soon have an ever growing belly! I think that I'll definitely be able to wear all of these items throughout the summer. It's all either loose or stretchy!

2015 APRIL CLOSET ADDITIONS

1. Paisley maxi dress: Forever 21 $16
I wish this dress was still online so I could recommend it to y'all! It's sooo soft and comfy. It will definitely be a staple for spring and summer.

2. Sandals: Target (BOGO 1/2 off) $15
I orginally ordered another pair of palazzo pants with the sandals, but I accidentally ordered the wrong size! Then when I returned them, they were sold out of my size. :( Luckily, I still got these sandals at the BOGO price!

3. Necklace: Le Tote (clearance) $12 used purchase credit = $0
Back in December Le Tote offered purchase credit to all of their customers because they moved locations and there were possible delays. I finally used my credit when they put a lot of their merchandise on clearance.

4. Black and white printed shirt: Forever 21 $10
Another soft and comfy find from Forever 21.

5. Old Navy teal cardigan: Dirt Cheap $10
When do you not need a new colored cardi to add to the closet?

6. {not pictured} Pink Belt: Charming Charlie (clearance) $6

7. {pictured below because I almost forgot about them} "Donny" Heeled Sandals: Just Fab $40 used last months credit = $0
I was mad that Just Fab took my money last month, but it ended up working out for the best because I adore these heels! I don't regret that $40 one bit. ;)

Total Spent $57 - Clothes sold on Poshmark $19 = $38

Total Spent this year: $124

march closet additions

1. Forever 21 Cardigan$9
I've been needing a black, lightweight cardi to throw on at work when I wear short sleeves. When it came in the mail the other day, it's a little big in the shoulders/arms, so I'm not sure if I'm keeping it or not. I'm wondering if I dry it in the dryer if it'll shrink and fit right.

2. Forver 21 Chambray shirt$23
I went on to Forever 21's website because they had free shipping and I just couldn't pass up the offer. I ended up falling in love with this shirt!

3. Mossimo Palazzo Pants: Target $20 [same but different print]
SO comfy and perfect. I 100% plan on wearing these once a week. I also just ordered these (same pants, different color and print) because I couldn't get enough.

4. Old Navy Slip on Sneakers:  Orginally $25, on sale for $18, used return credit= $6

5. Xhilaration Cap: Target $7
I've been needing a baseball cap to throw on for the weekends, this one was simple and perfect.

6. Floral Shirt: Marshall's $20
I don't typically spend $20 on tops, but this one really caught my eye and I sold some clothes to Plato's Closet and Style Encore so I had some extra cash on me to plurge.

7. Lulu*s Leopard Flats:  $17
Finally! I've replaced my good ole' leopard flats. Those babies were falling apart. Like my old ones, hese flats aren't the best quality, but they were exactly what I was looking for, and they fit the bill. I love love love the Steve Madden ones, but y'all know I am far too cheap to spend $80 on flats.

8. [Not pictured] Just Fab Credit: $40
Oh Just Fab, you got me again. I forgot to "skip this month," so you took my $40 that I can't get back. I ended up ordering these open toe booties. They were cute to the side, but the front of the shoe looked weird because they come up so high. I have to wait until my return processes to order something new... sigh.

Total Spent $142 - Clothes sold at Plato's and Style Encore $60 = $82

february closet additions

So I've decided to start documenting what I spend on clothes each month again. I did this for a few months last year, but stopped quite frankly because I was lazy. Honestly, I was trying to hard to make my collages pretty, so it was too time consuming. This time, if I have time to make a pretty collage, I'll make one, if not, who cares. After all, this is just a blog.

Last month I didn't keep track of what I bought, but I will tell you that I bought it all with Christmas money and/or gift cards... that gives me a big goose egg for Jauary. $0 spent.
(I do remember that I bought this dress in blue, this dress in black & white, and these jeans)

Now for February. This was a weird month for me shopping wise. I actually had no desire for new clothes any time I went anywhere. I usually will walk through the mall, Target, Marshall's, or Ross on my lunch breaks, and if I happen to find anything I'd like (at a good price of course) I'd get it. But it was weird because I'd go and start looking through one rack of clothes and get bored. I swear this has never ever happened to me before. I LOVE shopping. And now all of a sudden I dont? I really don't get it. Now I did force myself to look through the racks at Goodwill (see my dressing room diaries) once because I was out of town and my Goodwill here is terrible. I scored this awesome sweater dress that I want to wear every single day.

January Budget
All things gift carded/Christmas money
Total Spent: $0

February Budget
Merona Sweater dress: Goodwill $4
American Eagle sandals: Marshall's $10 gift carded
Total Spent: $4

***If you read my dressing room diaries post, you know that I did purchase the ugly Christmas sweater vest. Since that isn't something I plan to wear regularly (or y'all would hope not right?) I'm not including it in my budget. I make my own rules haha ;)

6- june closet add

I was clearly too lazy to number the clothes this time so top to bottom, left to right:

Gap tank: Goowill $4

J. Crew tees (I also got the same in black, not pictured): Bargain World thrift store $2 each = $4

Old Navy chambray popover: garage sale $1

Cynthia Rowley blouse: Goodwill $4

Gap striped sweater: Goodwill $4

Ralph Lauren v-neck tees: Goodwill $4 each = $12

Old Navy tee: Old Navy (on sale) $4

Forever XXI Kimono: Instagram shop $12

Old Navy embroidered tank: Goodwill $4

Navy polka dot tank: Instagram shop $8

Old Navy dress: Instagram shop $10 [worn here]

Gold tassel necklace: Ebay $4

Old Navy floral chambray: garage sale $1

Gap polka dot tee: garage sale $0.50

[not pictured] Old Navy white sweater: Goodwill $4

Total spent: $78.50 - clothes sold: $48 = $24.50

So I added quite a bit to my closet this month, but the good thing is 1. I sold a lot, and most importantly 2. the thrifting god's shined upon me this month!! A lot of people  say you can either get quantity or quality, but this is pure proof that you CAN have both. I got so many great name brand, quality pieces this month.

14. Target Blouse: Instagram Shop $12

Total Spent: $86 - Clothes sold on shop my closet $35 = $51

You may have noticed that the past few months of keeping track of my closet additions and monthly spending that I subtract what I made on clothes I sold from my total. I know not everyone else does this, but I think that if I am making money by getting rid of some clothes, that justifies adding it to my budget for new clothes! Am I right?? I still haven't set an actual budget for clothes yet, but I definitely always want to keep it under $100 a month. Even spending over $50 a month seems like a bit much for me unless I purchase long time, versatile items. I am SO cheap, y'all!

1. Apt. 9 crepe blouse:
     originally $36, on sale for $20 - $5 coupon - 15% off coupon = $13

2. jean vest: Goodwill $3

3. Mossimo boyfriend blazer: Instagram shop $12

4. wedges: Walmart (clearance) $5

7. LC ombre' dress: Goodwill $6

8. LC polka dot blouse: Kohl's (clearance + extra 15% off coupon) $8

9. Tommy Girl red gingham print top: Instagram Shop $15

Total Spent: $72 - $28 sold on shop my closet = $44

I gotta say, keeping track of exactly how much I spend on clothes each month is really helping me to hold myself accountable for what I spend. This month I held back on a lot of other things I wanted to buy, and I really only bought things things on my list of "needs." Note: this so called list is only in my head.

The white crepe blouse I have been watching at Kohl's for a year now. I have been needing the perfect white blouse, and girls, this is definitely it. I'm so glad I finally was able to get it for under $15. A jean vest was also on my list (check). I've been needing a new black blazer because I just don't love the one I have. I bought this one from an Instagram shop, but it's a little big. I'm thinking for only $12, I may get it tailored. Other things on my list were fun flats (check!), the perfect LBD (check.. ok turns out it's not so perfect, it's a little long and needs to be hemmed), a pretty blouse for work (check!), a plaid or gingham button up (check!). The wedges and ombre dress weren't aren't that list, but they were too great to pass up.

Oh and let's talk about this whole Instagram shopping thing. Ever since I went and switched my shop my closet page to Instagram, I have become addicted to shopping others' closets! What a lot of IG shops do ispost a picture saying that they're posting at a certain time, and then they spam the crap outta your feed, and they're stuff sells what seems like instantly. Unfortunately, I haven't had such luck with too many sales. I have had luck with buying though! Haha. I actually bought 2 other things, but they haven't come in the mail yet, so I'll wait and just add them to my March budget.

My husband was proud too, I made sure I showed him this post and that I got 8 new pieces for all of $34. I always tell him how lucky he is to have a thrifty wife. Most women spend $34 or more on ONE new piece!

october budget

OCTOBER

1. Target Dress: $12
I found this dress on the clearance rack, and I loveee the fall colors and the print. It's not something I was actually looking to buy, but my co-worker said it was a must buy ;)

2. Zara Cardigan: $9.99
I have been searching for a mustard cardigan for over a year! Can't believe I finally found one.. I have so many outfit ideas for it!

3. Old Navy Dress: $5
This dress was on clearance online for $10 and then the clearance was 20% off the day I ordered it, so that made it $8 + $7 shipping - $10 left on a gift card from Chippmunk= $5! I call that a score.

4. Sweater: Garage Sale $0.50
Yepp, just 50 cent, baby. I <3 garage sale-ing.

5. Blouse: Goodwill $2.99
This blouse is perfection and I want more blouses like it!

Total Spent: $30.48

I've been following Fran for a while, so I've known about her budgeting bloggers link up, and I've been wanting to link up ever since, but I just never took the time to actually keep track of what I spent each month on clothes. But finally, FINALLY I kept track! I'm really not sure what my monthly budget is just yet, because Larry and I are still getting used to sharing a bank account, and I'm still getting used to an actual salary. I don't really know what an appropriate amount to spend is yet. Maybe keeping track of what I spend each month will help me to come up with an actual budget? How did you come up with your budget?
