Though I'm like Peter Pan and refuse to believe that I'll ever actually grow up, I wanted to update y'all on how things were going in my life while I am doing grown up things.

Waking up everyday at 6:15 in the morning for work has been tough. It's not so bad once I'm out of the bed because I am somewhat of a morning person. I'd say that coffee has helped, but actually it's just annoyed me because it's making me have to pee every single hour at work. Probably TMI Danielle....

The crock pot has been my new bff. It takes me 5 minutes to throw something together the night before, and then I toss it in the pot and turn it on before I leave for work the next morning... get home and BAM there's food on the table, baby! Larry loves it. He said the pork chops I made the other night were "restaurant good." Best future wife award goes to me!

I gotta say, keeping this house clean isn't the easiest thing. I feel like I am constantly cleaning the kitchen! It's so pretty though, I haveee to keep it clean! And the dishwasher.. ugh it fills up every other day. That's one chore I will never and have never enjoyed. I'd rather clean the toilet everyday than load and unload the dish washer.

And that's all the grown up things I've done lately! I'm still running around the house playing with Charlie like a 4 year old, dancing in the living room, and playing dress up in my closet... some things never change.

  1. You look great! Growing up isnt easy, that's for sure! Keeping the kitchen clean is the worst and we could run the dishwasher twice a day!

  2. how in the world do dishwashers fill up so fast with just two people, i will never understand! it's ALWAYS full and i'm ALWAYS out of dishes! waking up early will probably be the death of me. i haaaate mornings. i don't think i'll ever be a morning person. when my poetry profs would always talk about how great writing is at like 530 in the morning and i knew i'd never be a professional poet. someday i'll be able to wake up whenever i want and that, my dear, will be my definition of success.

  4. I hate doing dishes too--even if it's in the dishwasher! Way rather clean toilets than do that :)

  5. Grown up garbage! Yuck! At least you look cute doing it! I suggest you watch the Jenna Marbles YouTube video "I Hate Being a Grownup" (if you haven't seen it already) which is pretty much my life when I don't feel like doing grown up things lol

  7. Being a grownup isn't always fun (I hear you about the dishwasher- I have my daughters do it!), but this outfit is great! Love the way it all comes together.

  8. Haha, I never want to grow up either! Luckily I don't have to wake up quite that early for my job, but still hard to get up at the same time every day because it is almost impossible for me to fall asleep the same time every day. I have been loving using the crock pot for meals too!

  9. You look amazing! I wish I could look this fabulous every day, or at least on days I teach. I can't believe you'd rather clean the toilet, though. That is my least favorite chore in the house, but I think it's mostly because of how much pet hair, dander, and wetness collects on it. I'll wash your dishes if you clean my toilet :)
