a lesson on bogo

IMG_8202
Cardigan: Target (super clearance 70% off) $5
Dress: Ross $10
Heels: Target (BOGO) $22
Necklace: eBay $10
Total Outfit Cost: $47

So today I'm gonna teach you a little thing about BOGO. Though we'd love if BOGO meant buy 1 get 1 free all the time, but unfortunately most of the time it means buy 1 get one 1/2 off.  I'm one of those people that likes to buy 1 item at a time. I think subconsciously  that my mind thinks I'm not spending as much money that way. So, to me BOGO just means spending more money... which I don't like.

My tip for you for BOGOing is what I did here to get my fabulous new heels for $22. Grab a friend, have them pick out something too, then ring each of your items up together! Wah-lah. Your very own discount without having to buy another item and spending more money! My co-worker and I headed over to Target on our lunch break with our amazing BOGO plan in mind, and she ended up getting these combat boots for $32!

  2. ahhhh i've been trying to decide if i should buy those! you buy all the things i'm conflicted about and then make me want them even more! i keep hoping those will go on sale a little more, but not sell out of my size. probably not going to happen, but wishful thinking!

love that raspberry color on you. i think i have that cardi in beige and i used to wear it tons, but i seem to have forgotten how.

also, you look effin' tiny in these photos.

  4. We have 4 kids so we take the BOGO up often BUT at the random time I am shopping for myself, I do that too, with my mom, sister, or BFF............I remember when I was a kid BOGO meant get 1 free, but sometimes at Kohls they have their buy 1 get 1 for a penny, which is pretty much the get one free thing still. I have my own tips for buying at Kohls to save money! I go to the store, shop, try on clothes, then put it all back, then go home, get it online, use a coupon code (and kohls cash) get a free shipping code and get it cheaper than I would have if id bought it in the store, yea I have to wait a week or so to get it, but with 4 kids, saving a chunk of money is worth the wait.

  5. Brilliant, just brilliant. I think buy one get one half off sales are just silly. I mean come on, that's only getting 25% off AND you have to buy two things. Smart idea!

Those shoes are amazing. I'm looking for the perfect leopard loafers but I think heels would be so fun!

  6. Super cute! This is why I never, ever, ever go shopping alone. You always need someone to split a good deal with!

  9. I do the same thing with my mom all the time; she makes the best shopping buddy! Makes shopping together even better :) Also tried it with a new pair of pants from Express because my friend got her husband's military discount on top of the sale! How perfect. I just love these heels.
