Last summer I told y'all how I was a skinny pants kinda girl. Not that I really even had to tell you! If you've followed along for any amount of time, you have never seen me in pants that weren't skinny.  Well, I think these pants have changed me! First I have to say that I would have never even picked these pants up at Plato's if it weren't for seeing how adorable Danielle (a little bit of wo we) looked in wide leg pants. These pants are SO comfy and fit absolutely perfect (other than the fact that they need to be hemmed like a cm shorter), and I just can't get over how awesome they look. I have a lot of outfit ideas for them already, so expect to be seeing these often!

Ever since I saw Rachel Sayumi wear this outfit, I knew I had to copy it one day! After buying these pants I searched wide leg pants on Pinterest and found this pin. Then wah-lah! I put those two outfits together to make my own outfit! I know a lot of my outfits lately have been either copy cats from other bloggers or from Pinterest. I'm not sure if it's my laziness, lack of creativity, or if I'm just really inspired by other's lately. Hopefully once spring rolls around my creativeness will come back to me, and I'll be posting my original outfit ideas again!

Oh & by the way, I'm hosting another round of the many days, many ways linkup on March 19th!

3 favorites today...

1. The fur vest, duh. When it started getting chilly again last week, I was a little too excited to pull out the vest again. $20 well spent.

2. This blouse. It is perfection and I want to wear it everyday.

3. This outfit was inspired by one of my favorite blogger buds, Nicole (writes like a girl). She wore [this outfit]. To be honest I know she has the same shirt I have on above and I definitely thought she was wearing it in that outfit, but it turns out I was wrong. She's wearing pretty much the same shirt minus the polkadots. Oh well. I still wouldn't have thought of this outfit if it wasn't for my misconception of her shirt, so she she still gets the credit.

So it decided to get cold again down here in Louisiana. This may be the first time in my life that I've worn gloves in March. It was actually in the 80's on Sunday, and then the cold front came through Monday and it was in the 40's. Then yesterday (when this outfit was worn) I woke up to some freezing rain! Craziness.
In all other news (since I seem to talk about the weather way too much on here) my Charlie girl was dognapped from me.... by my own mother! Larry, Charlie, and I went to visit my family this weekend, and Monday Larry and I had a couple appointments to go to in the morning.  So we planned to have lunch with my mom, and she was going to bring us Charlie and them we could go right on home instead of back tracking to her house to get her. Well. She texts me saying she was going to keep Charlie for the week since. I told her NO! She texts back oh well because she left already to meet us.  Our house is so lonely without Charlie! I'm pretty sure I've told Larry about 352 times that I miss her... and it's only been 2 days (that's probably about how many times I tell Charlie I love her in 2 days..). Only 2 more days Danielle... you can do it. :(
Oh and I take 0 credit for this outfit. It is an exact replica of this pin. I love Pinterest for allowing me not to have to think in the morning.

which boots are made for walkin?

Ok y'all, I am crying out for all of your stylish boot expertise! I only own one pair of boots (I'm sure you know which ones I'm talking about, I wear them pretty much every day), all the rest are ankle boots and booties. This winter I have realized my need for a pair of black riding style boots.. and well a new pair of cognac boots since those are falling apart! I've been searching the internet for boots, and I think that I'm going to go ahead and just order some from ebay since I can get such a good, affordable price on them. Here is what I found, I'd LOVE to hear your opinions on which to choose!

boots 2
1. I'm leaning towards these in cognac. The black pair looks a little cheap to me, but I still love the slimness of the leg. ($35)

boots 1
2. These are possibly the exact same pair as #1, but I'm thinking maybe they aren't so bright cognac? Is it just the picture quality or am I crazy? ($35)

boots5
3. I love the top of these boots, but I think the foot part is a little bulky. Plus the price is a little steeper than the rest. ($52)

boots 6
4. I love these, but like the ones above, I worry that the toe is too rounded or bulky. ($30)

boots 7
5. Not sure if I love these in black (mainly because I worry the buckle may be bright gold), but the brown pair is gorgeous! I really don't NEED brown though! Boo. ($36)

boots 8
6. This pair and the last pair are overall my favorite boot shape. My only problem with these is that the zipper down the side looks sort of biker-ish. ($40)

boots gray
7. I don't think I'm really in the market for gray boots right now, but I am SWOONING over these. Maybe I should get gray instead of black? ($40)

Ohhh man, sorry about the crappy inside picture today guys. For some reason my favorite outfits seem to get not pictured for a while, and I wasn't letting that happen with this outfit. I just wish the pictures did it justice. We had our quarterly meeting with 2 other offices at work last week when I wore this, and I got so many compliments on my shirt and my outfit! One male co-worker told me he liked my shirt. Then he proceeded to tell me that it reminded him of a picnic table cloth... yepp. What a compliment that was! Hahah.

On Tuesdays Danielle (a little bit of wo we) hosts "Trendy Tuesday" not only on her blog, but at the school she teaches at. How stinkin' cool is that?! I wish we had a teacher as stylish as Danielle when I was in school so that we could do something like that. Unfortunately, we had to wear uniforms. Anyways, today's theme is "gingham and cords." I don't have any cords (yet!), but I am wearing gingham!

PS: It would be completely un-Louisianian of me to not tell y'all... HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

Skirt: TJ Maxx $12

Scarf: American Eagle (clearance) $6?
Total Outfit Cost: $22

Right now I'm on the Saturday shift at work, so I work Saturdays for 3 months. Most of my co-workers hate it, but I really don't mind it. Saturdays are super casual in my office. Yepp, even chucks are acceptable! I have worn flats, sandals, and booties with a maxi skirt before, but I would have never tought to pair sneaker with a maxi. I got my inspiration for this outfit from Maria at Not Fancy, Just Life. She linked up to many days, many ways with 4 ways to wear a mxi dress. My favorite of the 4 was of course her fall look, so I decided to recreate it myself!

Total Spent: $72 - $28 sold on shop my closet = $44

I gotta say, keeping track of exactly how much I spend on clothes each month is really helping me to hold myself accountable for what I spend. This month I held back on a lot of other things I wanted to buy, and I really only bought things things on my list of "needs." Note: this so called list is only in my head.

The white crepe blouse I have been watching at Kohl's for a year now. I have been needing the perfect white blouse, and girls, this is definitely it. I'm so glad I finally was able to get it for under $15. A jean vest was also on my list (check). I've been needing a new black blazer because I just don't love the one I have. I bought this one from an Instagram shop, but it's a little big. I'm thinking for only $12, I may get it tailored. Other things on my list were fun flats (check!), the perfect LBD (check.. ok turns out it's not so perfect, it's a little long and needs to be hemmed), a pretty blouse for work (check!), a plaid or gingham button up (check!). The wedges and ombre dress weren't aren't that list, but they were too great to pass up.

Oh and let's talk about this whole Instagram shopping thing. Ever since I went and switched my shop my closet page to Instagram, I have become addicted to shopping others' closets! What a lot of IG shops do ispost a picture saying that they're posting at a certain time, and then they spam the crap outta your feed, and they're stuff sells what seems like instantly. Unfortunately, I haven't had such luck with too many sales. I have had luck with buying though! Haha. I actually bought 2 other things, but they haven't come in the mail yet, so I'll wait and just add them to my March budget.
