Ohhh man, sorry about the crappy inside picture today guys. For some reason my favorite outfits seem to get not pictured for a while, and I wasn't letting that happen with this outfit. I just wish the pictures did it justice. We had our quarterly meeting with 2 other offices at work last week when I wore this, and I got so many compliments on my shirt and my outfit! One male co-worker told me he liked my shirt. Then he proceeded to tell me that it reminded him of a picnic table cloth... yepp. What a compliment that was! Hahah.
On Tuesdays Danielle (a little bit of wo we) hosts "Trendy Tuesday" not only on her blog, but at the school she teaches at. How stinkin' cool is that?! I wish we had a teacher as stylish as Danielle when I was in school so that we could do something like that. Unfortunately, we had to wear uniforms. Anyways, today's theme is "gingham and cords." I don't have any cords (yet!), but I am wearing gingham!
PS: It would be completely un-Louisianian of me to not tell y'all... HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

Boy, do I love this shirt. A LOT. And I am laughing out loud at your male coworker's comment. Guys have a way of inadvertently dissing girls at the same time they compliment them. Let's just go with, "they don't really know how to compliment clothes." At least they try? Those pants are a perfect fit on you by the way! I might have just taken advantage of Old Navy's sale online. Maybe. Oops.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mardi Gras! :) I am doing more planning planning planning :) SOOOOO excited! -Alexandra

obsessed with this. how did i never think to pair my two favorite prints--leopard and gingham--together! love how you stepped the outfit up from being 1950's sweet to being modern and edgy with the leopard and statement necklace. also, long lived cropped black pants! i basically wrote an ode to them in a post for later this week.

ReplyDeleteSuper cute outfit! That shirt really is awesome--I love how the sleeve cuff has a smaller gingham pattern.
ReplyDeleteThat shirt is lovely Danielle! Red is a really great color on you and the gingham pattern is super fun. I looked at Goodwill this weekend for a gingham shirt to join Trendy Tuesday but they are pretty hard to find I guess!
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast cuffs on yours a lot. Such a cute detail.
You have no idea how much I love your Shirt. I want a Red+White Gingham one so bad. You are the most adorable picnic if that. Your retro curls and red lips add to the glam. =)
