When you're taking outfit photos for a blog multiple times a week, you become a lot more aware of what you wear. When I first started blogging, I realized that I only wore one color at a time and paired it with neutrals. I didn't really know how to put different color combinations together. I finally think I've got it though! I love different shades of blue and yellow together like in this outfit here and  in yesterdays outfit. I especially love navy and mustard together. I've also worn coral and turquoise, mint and navy, purple and navy, olive and coral, and olive and pink. What are some of your favorite color combinations to wear?

Last time I wore these pants Lauren asked what kind of shoes I wear with these pants... SUPER tall wedges!

  1. Definitely understand the whole color combo thing. Although I don't post outfit posts too much, I've become way more aware of what I'm wearing and love trying out different colors together. Navy and mustard is my favorite combo too! I've been wearing my mustard skirt with everything recently.

  3. I almost consider navy a neutral because of how many colors it looks good with.

  5. I love this color combination! I catch myself wearing a color with neutrals a lot too, but I'm always so happy when I find a way to wear colorful pieces together!

  6. I think I'd say Navy & Bright pink or mint and navy... currently. :) -Alexandra

  8. Okay, I LOVE those pants! I haven't worn a wide flare in a long time, but I feel like it's time for me to bring it back to my wardrobe!

I am the same way with color combos - when I first started blogging I thought I had to wear my chambray with black because it was too much of a color! Now I'm always wearing crazy colors together!

  9. I don;t think I could ever pull off flared pants, but you are WORKIN IT!
I'm all about mixing colors, but I've been really into black and white with bright accents lately.

  11. Oh I just love this outfit and I still have trouble paring different colors together. I always lean towards neutrals and one pop of color. My favorite is mustard and navy!!!! :) great fashionista minds think alike!!

  13. Any shade of blue and any shade of yellow always go together. I'm convinced of it. The best thing to happen to my Pinterest account was my color combinations board. These pants seriously are hot hot hot.

  15. I like to explore some different color combinations as well. Some of my favorites are also navy and mustard, olive and light pink, coral and mint, and mint and navy :)

  16. Girl, I STILL have that problem! I tend to wear just one color unless it's in the form of an accessory. Unless it's a pseudo-neutral like navy, olive, or grey, I'm typically too afraid to pair them together! I love this combo though, and thanks for answering my shoe question!! :) Danielle is right, those pants are hot hot hot!

  17. interesting thought! I agree though, trying new color combos is probably the easiest way to start mixing and matching your wardrobe more adventurously. I'll have to try out some of the ones you listed! also- can't wait to wear my wide jeans with wedges as it keeps getting warmer! it's a great solution!
