Dress: hand-me-over from my bestie
Heels: Forever 21 $30
Total Outfit Cost: $30
First things first, anyone like how I didn't blog for over 2 weeks, and then last week I just drop back in like nothing? Lol. Most bloggers will miss a day of blogging and apologize for it! I, however, don't think I should say sorry. This is just a little hobby of mine! I love to blog, but I really just wasn't in the mood for writing blog posts to be honest. I didn't open my laptop for the whole 2 weeks either. I'm definitely going to continue to blog, but I think I'll just blog less maybe. We'll see how it goes!
Next thing- this dress. So my bestie went through her dresses so I can sell some for her, and she said to keep whatever I wanted from them. I saw this dress, but I didn't think it would fit me at all, she is a size or two smaller than me. Somehow it fit! I wore it to work, and every woman in my office complimented me on it! I even got a compliment from a stranger. :)
hand-me-overs are amazing. we usually try to do a swap or two a year at my office since it's almost all women, but we haven't gotten around to scheduling one yet this year. i definitely have some co-workers whose closets i'd like to raid!
ReplyDeletei'm glad you took some time, and i'm glad you're not apologizing for taking it. that was something i fell into, but now i try to not feel that way or express that sentiment on my blog.

This dress looks great on you, it's a good thing your friend didn't want it anymore =) I'm glad you took a break. I sometimes will say something ahead of time if I take a break (like I did last week) but I don't feel bad about it. Like you said, this is a hobby. I'd hate for it to become something that made me feel obligated or guilty.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great dress! You're luck to have a friend to do a swap/giveaway with. Where did you get your slip?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I don't get apologizing for not posting for a day or two. Half the time all I can think is "sorry I didn't notice". ha

Every once in a while you just need a break! There's no shame in that. Anyone that really wants to see what you have to post will always come back. :)

Fabulous dress! You look great! And I'm with you on apologizing for missing posts. I used to do that too but I'm over it at this point. People will either continue to tune in or not, I'm not going to stress out about it. That's how I seem to feel about blogging as summer rolls around every year lol

Don't you fret about not blogging as frequently as you had been - I have been blogging more sparingly as well, and I like how much less pressure I feel. It's been much more fun for me now that I realize I don't have to take outfit pictures every.single.day or blog on a schedule :) Also, that dress is so much fun - it's great to have friends that you can trade clothes with! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I definitely noticed your presence missing from the blogisphere but you should never have to apologize for being gone, especially with lots of loyal followers who will always welcome you back!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so cute on you! I'm glad you kept it. It looks perfect for the office and for a night out on the town. And those wedges, adorable!
Love your attitude and glad to have you back!! And your shoes are great -- I'd never guess F21!
ReplyDeleteOh those shoes! :) I noticed you gone too, but do what you need to do! :) If it's not fun, it's not worth it. :) -Alexandra

ReplyDeleteThat is a really great dress. I was thinking how much I liked it before even reading about your day. :) I guess it's your "service fee" for selling her dresses.
