I FINALLY got my hairs did y'all. (Well actually over a week ago, but I'm finally getting to my pictures from last week.) I hadn't gotten a highlight since the week before the wedding... sooo like mid July. I don't know if y'all had noticed but my roots were terrrrrible.
 things only processed blondes understand...
- sitting in the salon for 3+ hours is always totally worth it
- the week after getting your hair done you can't get over the brightness of your blonde
- when your roots are bad you have to avoid wearing your hair certain ways to hide your roots (half up half down is always a no no)
- it's SO annoying when people ask why you're roots are black... people it's just the contrast from the natural dark blonde and the super light blonde that's making my roots look dark!
and lastly my favorite
- the best thing in the world is when someone asks you if your hair is naturally that color

would you be my friend if...

Fedora: Charming Clarlie, Gift Carded
Shirt: Ross $5.99
Jeans: TJ Maxx (clearance) $10
Charlotte Russe Flats: Goodwill $3.49
Necklace: Charming Charlie (clearance) 5.99

Would you still be my friend if I posted blog photos like this...?

Does anyone else play that game with your friends? My friend Adele and I play would you be my friend if I walked liked this... and then we proceed to walk in really retarded ways. Yes, in public.

My sister, Alyssa, and I like to play would you be my friend if I smiled like this... which usually ends up with a ton of hideous pictures of ourselves.

Larry and I's favorite is would you still be with me if I talked like this... He actually gets generally embarrassed by my retarded self. :P I don't get embarrassed easily, but he does, so it's always fun for me!

This face is my feeling towards mirror pictures.

Today I'm linking up with Fran for her Five Days Five Ways Challenge!  Looking through my archives I realized that I'm not doing a very good job of remixing my closet. I tend to not wear items that many times.  I need to work on this!!

I'm featuring only 4 ways I have worn my mint jeans, but I do promise you I have worn them way more than 4 times, I just didn't get pictures! I'll definitely be featuring them more, so eventually I'll have 5 ways, but for now, here are 4:

leopard flats go with everything

Chambray Shirt: Goodwill $3.49
Cardigan: Goodwill $3.49

Since it's been warmer around here, I've found myself wearing my leopard flats with almost everything! They always just seem to match! Flats are a good transition from winter to spring. My little toesies aren't ready to be bare just yet! Plus, I really need a good pedicure before I put a pair of sandals on!

Oh hey, here I am! It's been almost 2 weeks since I've written a blog post, and man do I miss it! The last 2 weeks have seriously been crazy for me. School has been just over whelming, and on top of that I have a wedding to plan, a job to find, and to move out of my apartment. Yeah, wouldn't you like to be in my shoes? Okay okay so it's really not that bad, I'm just trying to justify to you my lack of blog posts! By the way, this picture is from two weeks ago, and so are the ones I'll be posting in the next two days...
I'm hoping to start posting regular again next week. And when school calms down, I'd like to do a little sprucing up to the page, anyone want to help me in that? I'd love to pay someone to do it for me, but for one, that would kind of go against the point of my blog. I mean I'd probably pay for it if it cost less than $10.. actually under $5 would be even better.

Monday Style

Sweater: Forever 21 $5.00 (Clearance)
Shirt: Charlotte Russe $3.00 (Clearance)
Jeggings: Charlotte Russe Old
Flats: Forever 21 $18.00
Total Outfit Cost: $26.00

I thought this Monday definitely called for my big ugly sweater that I got on clearance at Forever 21 (Original Post).   This sweater is like one of those dogs that you see that are so ugly they're cute. That's the way I feel about this sweater. On top of being "cute" it is perfectly comfy for a day where all I have to do is go to one class and relax the rest of the day.  Today will be the only day I have to relax for a while because along with school, I'll be working a lot this week and especially this weekend.  Since the Superbowl is in New Orleans, we have a crap load (yes that is an actually amount) of planes coming into our airport in Hammond, so we are going to be crazy busy at work. I'm excited for it though, it beats being slow and bored at work!

Happy Monday, y'all!

Thursday Thrift Tip: Size Doesn't Matter

Shirt: Old
Sweater: Goodwill $3.49
Limited Jeans: Goodwill $4.99
Charlotte Russe Flats: Goodwill $3.49
Belt: Came on a dress
Total Outfit Cost: $11.97

So, since I get a lot of, "teach me your ways!" and "share your tricks!" I have decided it is time I share all my secrets with you!

Thrift Tip #1:
Size Doesn't Matter
Whether you're searching through the endless racks of clothing at the Goodwill or shopping the clearance rack at TJ Maxx, don't worry about looking at the size on the tag! Since the items are so cheap, it's okay if they don't fit exactly right. And sometimes some items are at thrift stores because of the size. For example, the sweater I have on above is an XL... I am a small/medium. My guess is that the person who originally purchased it dried it in the dryer and it obviously shrunk! And since it is just a tad too big, I added a belt, and voila! This XL sweater is now a small!

I hope my thrift tip helps... now get yourself to a thrift store and try it out! :)
