navy floral blouse + gray pants
Blouse: Marshall's $20
Pants: Marshall's $25
Sandals: Rack Room Shoes $25
Total Outfit Cost: $70

Pretty simple outfit today and not too much to say about it! I love this blouse, but I don't feel like there's too much else I could do with it. I wore it with white jeans and wedges on Easter Sunday. Any other ideas for this blouse though?

Nicole said it a few weeks ago that she's been dealing with a closet crisis, and I have to say that I've been going through the same thing the past few months. I don't really feel inspired by anything I've bought lately and nothing in my closet really feels "me" anymore. It doesn't help now that I'm pregnant either because now I have the challenge of finding things that are "me" and will fit this growing body. And another crisis I've been facing? A hair crisis!! I miss my long hair! I just don't know what to do with this short hair anymore. :(

Ok, ok. Enough with the complaining Danielle! Hope you're all having a great week!

hand me down

coral blazer + black and tan
LC Lauren Conrad Blazer: Kohl's $24
Blouse: Target: Hand me down from a friend (new with tags)
Mossimo Pants: Target (30% off) $20
Heels: Just Fab $40
Total Outfit Cost: $84

One of my coworkers sent me home with a bag of things that she had that she never ended up wearing. This gorgeous blouse was in it! I love it, and I love the way it turned out with his outfit, but it's a litttttle too tight in the chest area. :( Something that's very new to me haha. I'm debating on if I should keep it or not! Is it worth being tight in the chest?

Shirt: Old Navy c/o Chippmunk
Pants: The Limited (sale + coupon) $20
Flats: Lulu's $17
Necklace: borrowed stole from sista
Total Outfit Cost: $37

Now that I've finally replaced my leopard flats, I can't stop wearing them! I'm almost nervous that I'm going to wear a hole in them already! Haha. Even with bold stripes, they're just the perfect neutral for so many outfits. Not to mention they also helped to cover my unpainted toes. Don't worry mom, they are painted by now I promise!

Truth be told, this is what I wore on St. Patty's day. If I were an organized blogger, I would have planned this post out to be posted ON St. Patty's day. But I'm not. I usually write a post the night before it goes live, or sometimes if I'm lucky, or a couple nights before. When you see an outfit on the blog, it could've been worn the day before or it could've been worn 2 weeks ago. When I first started blogging a couple years ago, I was more on track with my outfits and I'd post them either the day of or the day after.

So I'm curious, bloggy friends, are you an organized blogger? Do you post your outfits the same day you wore them or later?

Today I'm linking up with Audrey's Putting Me Together Style Challenge to copy an outfit you've pinned. I've actually been meaning to copy this pin for a while, and this challenge gave me the chance to go ahead and try it! I wanted to wear it with my gray jeans like the pin, but I didn't want to wait until Friday so I wore my navy pants instead. I love the way this outfit turned out, and this may be one of my new favorite color combos!

Well my husband and I have the flu (my first time ever having it) so I'm going to get back to resting! I literally slept all day yesterday. Today we're feeling a lot better though, thank God! :)

Long time no blog post, eh? We got back from our wonderful Disney vacation last Tuesday, but I just couldn't get myself to write up a new post! I was partially busy unpacking, cleaning house, washing clothes, etc... but partially I was being just plain lazy. Ain't nothing wrong with that! Being in Disney World makes me miss living there soooo much. It just feels like home to me! Unfortunately there's no chance I'd live there again. It's way too far from all of our family. I can't say that our future children will be Disney deprived though. I feel like we'll probably be that family that vacations there every year. I'm already ready to go back! Too bad it may be another 3 years or so before we do. :( I'll miss ya, Mickey!

On to the outfit- something about this outfit just says "young business casual" to me. I know that a couple of years ago when I thought of business casual I thought of black flare dress pants, black flats, and a boring blouse. I've been wearing business casual to work for 2 years, and I now know that business casual doesn't have to be plain and boring! Take a look at this outfit I wore to my first day of work 2 years ago when I worked at Top Gun Aviation. Not boring, but just not me. In 2 years I've learned how portray my own style even when having to dress business casual! Did you ever have a certain style in your mind when you thought business casual?

a neglected favorite

LC Lauren Conrad blazer: Kohl's $24 [similar
Blouse: Plato's Closet $6
Pants: Old Navy $26  [here]
Heels: Shoe Station (clearance) $10 [almost exact]
Total Outfit Cost: $66

Last year I wore this blazer sooo much. I had to stop myself from wearing it once a week. But this year? It's been neglected in my closet! How could I have let that happen to one of my favorite pieces in my closet? No idea! My dear coral blazer, I am sorry. I promise not to neglect you anymore.
One thing that has definitely not been neglected is these Old Navy "the diva" skinny pants. I have worn these babies OUT. The bottom seam is out so I have to flat iron it cuffed under so it doesn't come undone during the day. (please tell me y'all flat iron your clothes too?!) Anyone have a good recommendation for skinny pants for work that are under $30??

Monday came here way too quick, dontcha think? When will we all turn to 3 days weekends? Speaking of 3 day weekends, I totally thought I'd be getting one next weekend because I go from working Mon-Fri to Tues-Sat for September. So I would be off Saturday to Monday right? Well nope! I completely forgot that I'm working Labor day! Booooo. Oh well, still only a 3 day week for me though, because we're going to Disney World that week!
I spent Saturday with my best friend, and we got all our Disney reservations, fast passes, and outfits all in order for our trip! We were so productive! We even finished the day watching Frozen. We are definitely big kids at heat forever. I can't wait to show ya'll our Disney Bound outfits we have planned for the trip. :)

...you already know. Something about a pair of fabulous heels, a cute outfit, and sunglasses can make a girl feel fancy, right? Actually I didn't feel all that fancy in this outfit. I just started singing that song while taking these pictures, so I decided then that it should be the title of this blog post.

By the way, my 23rd birthday is in just a few hours! Presents are always welcome... I wear a shoe size 8 ;)

out of the rut

A few weeks ago, I was in such a clothing rut. I felt like I couldn't put together an outfit on my own to save my life. I kept having to turn to Pinterest and my fellow blog friends for inspiration just to get dressed in the morning. I think it was mainly because I had enough of my winter clothes. But finally, FINALLY, spring has sprung! The weather has been amazing the last 2 weeks. And finally I feel like my creative juices are flowing again! I've been loving my outfits lately! I'm happy to get dressed in the morning again, and I really haven't even been on Pinterest much. I feel like myself again. Did this extra long winter get you in a rut?

I bought this blazer from an instagram shop, so it's not something that I was able to try on prior to buying.  I had a feeling it might be a little big on me, but I said what the heck, and bought it with hope that it'd fit. Unfortunately, it did turn out to be a little big. It's already what's considered a boyfriend blazer, but I still don't think it fits like it's supposed to. So, I thought to even it out I'd wear something super girly and some tight pants. I think this outfit is just ok. Kinda boring. Oh well. If you have any insight on styling this blazer, throw it at me!
I'm so glad it's Friday! I'm back to the Monday-Friday shift at work, so you know what that means?? Garage sale-ing on Saturdays!! I'm actually going to my hometown this weekend, so my mom and I will be going hit up some yard sales first thing in the morning. I can't wait!

interviewed

Two Fridays ago I had an interview in Lake Charles (my future home). It was my second big girl job interview (I had a third last Friday). My mom and sista went with me so that I could show them Larry and I's house. They absolutely loved it by the way!! I wore this outfit for my first interview and got a second interview, which I did not take because it was fully commission. I figured since it was lucky enough to get me a second interview the first time, it would be lucky enough this time... and it was! I have a second interview in two weeks!
The interview I went to last week was yet another fully commission. Ugh. Not that I would take a second interview, but they didn't call me back for one yet and I'm thinking it's cause I didn't wear this outfit. I'm weird and sometimes superstitious.

Blazer: Goodwill $4.99
Banana Republic Skirt: Goodwill $3.49
Button Up: Old
Charlotte Russe Flats: Goodwill $3.49
Purse: Target $26
Total Outfit Cost: $37.97

You can't get much more professional than a black blazer and a white button up, but if you're wondering why I didn't go with a black skirt is because I didn't want to come off as too boring. I want to add some color and personality to my outfit. I went with flats because I didn't have any closed toe plain black heels. I don't think open toe is appropriate for an interview (just in case it goes against the company's dress code policy). I have some cap toe black heels but I think I walk funny in them and that's the last thing I want when I walk into an interview... "How about that girl who walked funny?"

We took these pictures when we met Larry for lunch. I saw this awesome colored wall and knew it would be el perfecto for outfit pictures. I especially love how the wall contrasts so good with my purple skirt!

Sista and I always actin' a fool in public.
