A few weeks ago I started my shop my closet page on instagram.  Well, along with selling my clothes, I have begun to follow a whole lot of other instagram shops. It. Is. Addicting! It's like being able to thrift online! I find that a lot of the shops overprice their stuff though. A lot of them buy thrifted stuff to be able to sell. I was just trying to give my unloved clothes a new home. Anyways, this skirt is from @targetunderten, and it was brand new with tags... AND shipped for only 7 buckaroos. That was a steal I couldn't pass up!

More on this skirt... so I wore this outfit for a nice Sunday date with my husband. We slept in and watched church online, then we got dressed and went to the movies to see Son of God. When we were leaving the theater, it was SUPER windy. I was about to flash everyone. It was so bad. I had to grab my skirt on the side and hold it down, and I could barely walk! Lesson learned: do not wear a skater skirt (or dress) when it's windy!

Also, this outfit was inspired by Kate's (a journey in style) outfit here

  2. I thought this outfit looked familiar! But I love it with the grey tee! It's really windy where I live too, I've been thinking about wearing bike shorts under my skirts, or maybe a slip would help? Thanks for the shout out :)

  4. Selling stuff on instagram is such a good idea! I sold a couple of things on my blog, but then I decided that no one would probably buy the rest :)

What did you think of the movie? I haven't seen it yet, but I want to!

  7. Wind is definitely not skirt or dress friendly! I live near the water so there's naturally a breeze almost always but by my house, there's a bridge we cross to get to a shopping street area and the wind is so strong there, I am like you. Have to hold the skirt down and tight so as not to flash the world! Good job avoiding that one!

This outfit is really cute. $7 is quite the steal!! It looks great on you too and I'm sure you'll get a lot of use out of it in the upcoming months.

  8. $7...take me online thrift shopping, girl.

I think I need to pin this outfit. Done and done.

Your hair is beautimous, by the way. (Autocorrect hates that word, but my uncle came up with it a long time ago. I like it even if Autocorrect hates it.)

  9. You've really got to thank the internet for not only opening up these marketing methods, but for letting both buyers and sellers instantaneously connect with each other for ease of communication. The internet also does a spectacular job transmuting the formerly unattainable enterprises such as thrift stores, and remolding them in such a way that we can start one already. We should really exploit these kinds of inroads as much as we can.

  12. cute simple outfit! the skirt looks like it fits really well and it's not too short. I'll def have to check out some insta shops because it seems like a great cheaper way to find things!

  13. Your skater skirt is so cute on you and it was a steal. Both you and Kate did an excellent job with this. Each made it your own.

  14. I love skirts like this, and I've been looking for them all over...but most of them are too short or too expensive (I'm so cheap, haha). I'll keep looking, but in the meantime, I'll get some inspiration from you!
